"Seven," he moaned in his sleep. I rolled
over, pretending not to hear him.

"The turbolift got stuck." They must think
I'm the biggest ass in the quadrant.

I cried myself to sleep, knowing what I
would hear if I was awake.

[ g o o d   b y e ]

"Kath, I'm sorry. I'm leaving." I had been
wondering when I would hear that.

[ i n  s i c k n e s s  &   i n   h e a l t h ]

I didn't lie. I really am sick. I could never
stomach their wedding reception.

[ m i n e ]

An annulment. Bad news for her, good
news for me. He's all mine again.

[ f o r e v e r ]

I thought I could take him back, but I
can't. Not now, not ever.

[ c r a s h ]

We always joked about it. We never
thought a shuttle crash would kill him.

"Do it," commanded Kathryn.
"Yes, ma'am." Chakotay grinned from his
position beneath his captain.
